Each student who has a need for free or reduced-price lunches should
complete the application for assistance. These applications will be
provided on the first day of school and should be returned to school
as soon as possible. ALL CHILDREN IN ONE FAMILY CAN BE PLACED ON ONE
APPLICATION MAKING ONLY ONE APPLICATION NECESSARY.
Students applying will be notified of their status. If family income
changes during the school year, a new application must be completed
and returned to the office.
Students who were on free or reduced-price lunches last year will eat
based on the same rates only until the new forms are processed. Then,
only students that qualify under this year’s new guidelines will
be eating free or reduced-price.
Snacks
At West Carroll Primary, we feel it is important to practice good nutritional
habits. For this reason, we request that students do not bring soft
drinks for snack or lunch.
Payment Procedures
Please send all money to school in an envelope. Money lost in an envelope
is usually turned in to the office or appropriate homeroom teacher.
Include in the outside the following information:
- child’s name
- child’s teacher
-date
-what money is for
-total amount
Send lunch money in a different envelope from other money. Lunch money
is sent directly to the cafeteria. The teacher collects other money.
Lunch money for more than one child can be sent in the same envelope
if the student’s names and amounts are indicated. Other money
needs to be in separate envelopes. This helps the homeroom teachers
who collect the money.
