Recently making news headlines because of their unique story and tight bond even 40 years later, the class of 1986 was only the 3rd class to graduate from West Carroll. Report cards are now ready for pick up for West Carroll Jr./Sr. High school until 3 pm. We will be closed from 11 am-12 pm for lunch. The next day for report card pick-ups will be the first day of summer school on May 28th. Enjoy your summer break!

This morning, we celebrated the Class of 2026 during Senior Breakfast as students were recognized for scholarships, academic honors, Top 10 achievements, and participation in clubs and organizations.🎓🥞
Students also heard words of encouragement from Tennessee State Representative Brock Martin, who challenged graduates to “always look for more ways to serve your community” and to “remember where you came from” as they move forward into the next chapter of their lives.
We are proud of this senior class and all they have accomplished during their time at West Carroll and we look forward to continuing the celebration during the graduation ceremony, Friday, May 22.

Field Day was a day full of smiles, laughter, teamwork, and memories! From relay races to cheering on classmates, our students had an amazing time enjoying friendly competition and end-of-year fun. Our students at WCES took reading to new frontiers this year! Students worked hard to meet the goal of reading 100 books or earning 100 AR points, and those who reached the mark were rewarded with a special trip to the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus Planetarium.

The results were fantastic: 42% mastered the second-grade list, and almost 20% reached the third-grade level! We celebrated their hard work with popsicles and pizza, but the real win is seeing their dedication to becoming stronger readers. Way to go, WCP! 🍕🍦

Class of 2026 Graduation Reminders: Graduation for the Class of 2026 is this Friday, May 22 at 7pm! Doors Open at 6pm at the West Carroll High School Gymnasium📣🎓
Seniors should report to the auxiliary gym fully dressed by 6:00 PM. (Please note: no parents in the aux gym.)
Reminder for families and friends attending graduation: To help keep the focus on celebrating each graduate and to avoid distractions during the ceremony, please refrain from bringing balloons, noise makers, confetti poppers, air horns, or other disruptive items into the gymnasium. Through our partnership with Jackson State Community College, students have the opportunity to begin taking college-level courses during their junior year with the goal of graduating high school with an associate degree already completed.
We’re excited to recognize both our returning and new cohorts in the program. This year, we have 4 current juniors continuing into their senior year and 7 upcoming juniors enrolling in the program for the first time.
We’re proud of these students for challenging themselves and taking advantage of opportunities that will help prepare them for success beyond high school.

"I've got no worries about 6th grade. It was fun." - Eli Joyner, rising 6th grade student. That about sums up Move Up Day at West Carroll. 🎒
Move Up Day gave West Carroll Elementary students a chance to step into next year a little early. They visited new classrooms, met the teachers they'll see in August, and took part in short lessons along the way. Each student carried a passport to jot down what they learned and what they're looking forward to.
For rising sixth graders, the day was all about getting comfortable with middle school. Current sixth graders looked back on their time in the building and started thinking about what's next. Our 6th grade students will visit the junior high this week.
There will be a Jr. High Softball parent meeting on Tuesday, May 19, at 6:00 PM. It is Mandatory for all players and parents.
Senior Night at Duel on the Diamond ⚾🥎
Due to a regular season game cancellation, our senior Lady War Eagle softball players were honored during this year’s Duel on the Diamond game against the War Eagles baseball team. We want to thank and congratulate Hailey Michell and Hayden Weaver for their leadership and commitment to our softball program. Our baseball seniors were also recognized at the game!
Our seniors have had a busy and exciting few days filled with celebrations, recognitions, and milestones as graduation approaches. We’re thankful to King Photography Studios for capturing so many special moments for our students and families. Check her page for more images from the night!
