West Carroll High School is excited to announce Coach Cindy Smith as the new Head Coach of Lady Eagles Softball! 🥎🦅

Coach Cindy is already a familiar face in the West Carroll community, currently serving as our Head Volleyball Coach and as a PE teacher at West Carroll Primary School. We are excited to see her bring her leadership, energy, and commitment to our softball program. “Coach Cindy has already proven herself to be a strong leader who cares deeply about our students and our school,” said WCHS Principal, Dr. Adam Douglas,  “We are excited for her to take on this new role and look forward to the direction she will take our softball program.”

Middle Child Appreciation Day is August 12!
They say the middle child is independent, adaptable, and always knows how to bring people together... and we'd have to agree!
As the middle building of the West Carroll Special School District, WCES is proud to bridge the gap between our youngest learners and our older students. Every day, we're building confidence, creating leaders, and preparing our students for what comes next.
Middle children may not always get the spotlight, but they have a way of making a big impact, and that's exactly what our students do every single day.

Learning is well underway in the Science Department! In Biology, students  recently completed their first experiment of the year, exploring surface tension and putting classroom concepts into action.

They are already looking forward to more experiments and hands-on learning opportunities throughout the year that help connect what they learn in the textbook to the world around them.

Last week, we celebrated 8 of our Junior High students who scored 95% or higher on last semester’s TCAP assessments! A special congratulations to Ally Baker, Isaiah Green, and Destiny Smith for earning a PERFECT score!

To celebrate their outstanding achievement, the students were joined by their 7th and 8th grade teachers for a special lunch at Mi Pueblito. We are so proud of the hard work these students put in and loved getting the chance to recognize their success!

Attention 7th Grade Families!

A reminder that all students entering 7th grade are required by the Tennessee Department of Health to receive a Tdap booster before attending school.

Please schedule an appointment with your child's primary care provider or our local health department as soon as possible. Once your child has received the vaccine, be sure to submit an updated Tennessee Certificate of Immunization to the school.

Getting this completed now will help ensure a smooth start to the school year!

Pink informational flyer reminding families that the Tennessee Department of Health requires all students entering 7th grade to receive a Tdap booster shot before starting school. The flyer explains that the Tdap vaccine is a booster for students who have completed their initial DTaP/DT/Td vaccine series. It encourages families to contact their primary care provider or local health department to schedule the vaccination and to submit proof of immunization using the required Tennessee Certificate of Immunization. Decorative syringe and vaccine bottle illustrations appear in the corners of the flyer.
