West Carroll Primary launched a schoolwide reading challenge for National Read a Book Day! The new DEAR program encourages students and families to “Drop Everything and Read” each day—with a goal of 100 books by the end of the year.

Position: District-Wide Technology Coordinator & EIS/TEDS Data Collection

Description:
West Carroll Special School District is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of District-Wide Technology Coordinator. This administrative position also oversees EIS/TEDS data collection and serves as supervisor of the technology department. The ideal candidate will support district-wide technology initiatives, manage staff in the technology department, and ensure accurate and timely data reporting.

West Carroll FFA State Fair 2025

Monday, August 18, 2025, members of the West Carroll FFA Chapter competed at the Tennessee State Fair in Lebanon. The members of the Livestock Judging team included Ana Murray, Bella Moore, Carson Cooper, and Gunner Martin. Elizabeth Hritz and Joy Bryant competed in the Forestry contest. Three members wrote and delivered speeches: Aubrey Hammet (Sophomore) Dmytriy Berggren (Freshman) has good standings, and Hunter Malm placed 3rd in the 6-8th grade category. Members Sawyer Jackson, Harlan Hames, and Ethan Mueller competed in the Grill Masters competition, cooking two sirloin steaks. Volunteers can be:

· Faith based groups, public health professionals and organizations
· Other stakeholders that represent the eight components of health

As a member, you will:
Advise on health education and wellness programs
Help promote physical, mental and emotional well-being

West Carroll High School is proud to announce the hiring of Cindy Smith as the new Head Volleyball Coach for the Lady War Eagles. Coach Smith brings to the program a strong foundation of leadership, integrity, and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the court.

Coach Smith is known throughout the region for her deep commitment to values-based coaching. Her approach to leadership is centered on character, hard work, and mutual respect—core principles that mirror the mission of West Carroll High School. She has a proven ability to inspire young athletes to rise to their full potential while fostering a culture of unity and personal growth.

“Coach Smith is exactly the kind of leader we were looking for,” said Dr. Adam Douglas, Athletic Director at West Carroll High School. “She brings with her not only years of experience and a sharp mind for the game, but also the kind of character that positively influences students far beyond the court.
