We are excited to share that our very own Carson Cooper, West Tennessee Regional winner, has now been named the State Champion in FFA Beef Production - Placement SAE. This is the first-ever State Title earned by West Carroll FFA! Carson will now have the opportunity to compete and represent WCHS at the national level.
SAEs (Supervised Agricultural Experiences) are hands-on, student-led projects that allow FFA members to apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world agricultural careers.
We are incredibly proud of Carson, as well as our entire FFA program and sponsors, for representing West Carroll so well at the state level! Next stop: Nationals!!

Today at WCES, we had the joy of celebrating our amazing coworker and dear friend, Dr. Jessica Williams, as she prepares to welcome her sweet baby girl into the world.
Our school family gathered for a beautiful baby shower filled with laughter, love, and excitement for this chapter in her life. We are so thankful to get to celebrate her.
Congratulations Mrs. Jessica - your West Carroll family can't wait to meet your little bundle of joy .💖

Students recently compared the city-states of Athens and Sparta, researching five categories including geography, education, government, and the status of women. Groups chose how to present their findings, either through a virtual presentation or a poster, then shared their work with the class.
Two city-states. One civilization. Very different ways of life. And a room full of students who can now tell you exactly why that matters.
This is sixth grade social studies at West Carroll Elementary. ☘️

Seventy-three students in the "First Frontiers" reading program recently hit a major milestone, reaching 75 books read or 75 Accelerated Reader points. The First Frontiers reading program, designed by Mrs. Pat Hudgins, sets a goal for all students to read at least 100 books or earn at least 100 AR points by May 8th.
To mark the occasion, Principal Dr. Jessica Williams and staff hosted a St. Patrick's Day Library Lunch, with green decorations and cupcakes courtesy of Mrs. Shelia Hilliard and Mrs. Kay Story.
But the numbers tell their own story. More than 50 of those 73 students have already surpassed the school-wide goal of 100 books or 100 AR points set for May 8. One student has read over 200 books. Another has earned more than 200 AR points. One student has crossed 400.
Every student who meets the goal will be honored at the First Frontiers Grand Celebration on May 18.☘️

West Carroll Primary went ALL OUT for St. Patrick's Day to show our incredible staff just how much they mean to us! 🎉
🔍 Staff took on an epic scavenger hunt searching for hidden leprechaun pics of Mrs. Jackie Wester — and Mrs. Sharlanda came out on TOP, finding all 10 to claim the golden prize! 👑
🟢 The lunch area was transformed into a sea of green with cakes, pies, snacks, and tons of treats!
💚 And the best part? Our students shared the sweetest, most heartfelt words about the people who inspire them every single day. It was a joyful and memorable way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!
Happy St. Patrick's Day from WCP! ☘️

🔢 Infinite Fun, Infinite Learning
West Carroll Elementary marked Pi Day (3.14) with a full day of hands-on learning.
Ms. Madison McClure designed grade-level activities for 3rd through 6th grade that brought circles and geometry to life. Projects like using string to label parts of a circle, working through math challenges using 3.14, discovering why pi equals 3.14, reading Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi and Sir Cumference and the Round Table, and more. Every activity was connected to grade-level geometry standards.
And because no Pi Day is complete without pie our lunch ladies, Shelia, Tina, Kay, and Hope, brought in a spread of homemade pies for every student and staff member to enjoy.
